or Association of Finnish Veterinary

Students in Estonia was formed in 2002 by Finnish veterinary students studying at Eesti Maaülikool. Currently, we have ca. 180 members.

WITH OUR ACTIVITY WE AIM TO​

  • Unite Finnish veterinary students studying at Eesti Maaülikool

  • Provide promotion of interests and guidance in studies and professional matters

  • Promote solidarity

  • Maintain and establish liaison with Finnish companies

BOARD AND COMMITTEES

  • One term equates to one calendar year

  • Board of directors consists of ten members. The board assembles a minimum of eight times a year

  • The association has committees which hold various responsibilities and provide activities and hobbies within the association. At the moment our committees include:​

    • Dog committee

    • Clothing committee

    • Media committee

    • Party committee

    • Free-time committee

    • Room committee

    • Tutor committee

    • Magazine committee

WE OFFER OUR MEMBERS​

  • Various educational training

  • Opportunities to meet affiliate companies

  • Hobbies, events, and parties 

  • A room called “Cecum” in which to relax and assemble at the university

  • Our own magazine called Ascaris Lumbricoides

  • Facebook groups for our members

  • Group orders for clothing/textiles and other items at student-friendly prices

  • Suolet ry merchandise

  • Support and guidance in living abroad 

Our association provides three ways to be a member:

  1. Full member 

  2. Forever supportive member

  3. Part-member

Full members have access to all benefits of being a member. In order to be a full member, you need to be a Finnish veterinary student studying at Eesti Maaülikool.

The forever supportive member has the benefits of being a member part from being able to vote in meetings. Only students that have graduated from Eesti Maaülikool are qualified for this membership.

Part-members has the benefits of accessing “Cecum” and can partake in parties and recreational events. Part-members cannot attend medicinal product showcases nor events held by Finnish companies. Some educational opportunities may be in English, however, most are held in Finnish. Part-members do not have the right to vote in meetings.

BECOMING MEMBER & RENEWAL

New students are greeted with membership applications at the start of the autumn semester, however, it is also possible to apply through our website (application form). 

To renew your membership, you only need to pay the yearly membership fee.

The membership fee is reviewed each year

 

2023-2024:

Full member: 18€

Forever supportive member: 150€

Part-member: 10€
